One of the books available to purchase in the Museum’s shop in Moa, The life and death of the New Zealand’s legendary bird  by Quinn Berentson. This book was a Finalist in the 2013 Royal Society of New Zealand Science Book Prize. This is a captivating and significant book that thoroughly describes the life and death of our unique bird. The book contains a fantastic range of illustrations, and is an example of a well-researched reference book. A review of the book on Beattie's Book Blog - unofficial homepage of the New Zealand book community says that   “it’s a serious book about a popular subject and will fill a real gap in our natural history literature,’ says publisher Robbie Burton. ‘It’s a fascinating story and an important book that richly recounts and illustrates the life and death of the giant bird.” says publisher Robbie Burton.  The book costs $49.90.
