What am I? An Oyster Opener of course!

08-09-2013

This contraption from our collection is an Oyster Opener made by Bowlings of London.

A bit more complicated than the simple knives that are more commonly used today, this is made of cast iron with a hinge in the middle and two spiked clamps for holding onto the shell.

Oysters for lunch, anyone?
